This is what you need to know for the Festival Latino 2021

The Latino Festival is around the corner, make sure to bring grandma, grandpa, your son-in-law, neighbors and a good hat or umbrella to enjoy some of the Latin American traditions and folklore presentations, here is our schedule for Saturday, August 28, 2021.


12:00 PM – Carrera de Encostalados – Sack Race bag for the little ones. 

12:30 PM - Dance contest of “La Macarena y Mayonesa” (There are prizes for the winners)

1:00 PM - Lynn Firefighter Department giving gifts to children and let them climb the fire engine unit.

1:30 PM - Lynn Police Department will be bringing their patrol cars. All children will be able to go up to the units and receive gifts from the officers.

2:00 PM - “The Canine Officers” - The police dogs from Essex County Sheriff Department along with their fellow officers will give a demonstration of their fieldwork. Be sure to bring your hat, cap, umbrella, chair, or blanket to enjoy the show.

2:30 PM - Pumawari Tusuy - folkloric group that will represent Peru, brings the dances of the Caporales and the Waila, these dances have been considered Cultural Heritage in the world.

3:00 PM - The talented Salvadorean artist Maggie Aguilar, will delight the entire audience with her unique and exclusive voice. Get ready because Maggie will make you participate in one of her dance contests and whoever dances best, will win a prize.

3:30 Tunaltit, the Salvadorian folkloric dances.

3:45 PM - Miguel Orozco - is a Guatemalan artist, master of the saxophone who will put a good dance rhythm in the Commons Park, take your partner because surely you will want to dance the unmistakable, “Jugo de Piña”.

4:00 PM - You will be able to see the millenary dances of the brave Aztec people at the Latino Festival 2021 for the first time in Lynn, and the group “Quetzalli - el de las Plumas Brillantes” - brings the presentations of Aguila Blanca, Paso del Camino, Offering to Huitzilopochtli, Caracol de Guerra, Danza Mayahuel and as if that was not enough, you can enjoy the songs of the group of girls with songs in Spanish, Nahuatl, and Mixteco.

4:30 PM - Awards - Sin Fronteras 2021 - We will honor those Latin Americans who made a difference in Massachusetts during the critical year of the Covid-19 pandemic. 

5:00 PM - From South America to Lynn - Chilean Heart of Boston: Cuecas, Guaracha and much more from the brave Chilean people!

El Rancherito de Oro, the Mexican Mariachi Kid will be singing between 4:30 and 5:30.

Cultura Danza Latina, representing our brothers and sisters from Dominican Republic. 

5:30 PM - The Show of Dancing Horses of Juan Gonzalez! To the rhythm of the Norteño group: “Inocentes del Rancho” and with the voice of “La Yaquesita de Sonora”, these beautiful Dancing Horses will dance as they dance in the great ranches of Mexico. Be on time to see these beautiful horses that dance to the rhythm of good norteña and a 100% Mexican band.

6:00 PM - El Rey Tulile - The taste of merengue from New York to Lynn, the merengue will put rhythm in the Commons to all those lovers of this contagious dance music genre. Bring your dance partners and have a healthy and fun-filled afternoon.

7:00 PM - From El Salvador to Massachusetts, the Unmistakable sound of  “Los Nítidos” under the direction of the Maestro: Ricardo Montiel.

8:00 PM - The lights go out. We'll see you in 2022!
